fuel pump low pressure, surprise finding

i was getting 50 psi at fuel check valve at the rail. car was not starting. i remove the fuel tank and found a stain on it, but at the same time, the fuel pump assembly seal was missing so i though the leak was coming from there.

i took the pump out and test it, i got a steady 85 psi, i thought wth, thank god i did not tell the customer he needed a pump before dropping the tank. so i went to test the pump flow, and walaaaa pipe started to spray on me...
